Watch the trailer for Edenbrooke here. Frankly, I hate Marianne, but all the other characters are similarly annoying. Daventry sends his beautiful, elegant daughter Cecily rojance have a season in London and ships her “quiet and dull” twin, Marianne, to her grandmother’s home in Bath.

I look forward to following this author as she develops into an even more accomplished and elegant writer. All the hopeless romantics of this world! Lady Caroline looked horrified. Just the kind of adventures to take away Marianne’s boredom. I read this book a couple of months ago and loved it!!
I have also read Donaldson’s other novel “Blackmoore” several times. I adore Heyer’s books and Edenbrooke had a very similar feel with the exceptions that it moves a lot quicker and there is more of a love story in Edenbrooke than Heyer put into her longer novels something I always wished for more of.
Edenbrooke is a fabulous book full of laughs and tingles. Marianne is also loyal to a fault and put others needs ahead of her own, which helps explain why I think she purposefully chooses to ignore what’s right in front of her. I have read both of her books now and truly wish there was more for me to read!!

Your blindness to my feelings is a daily rlmance, and I feel driven to the edge of madness by my love for you. When a book succeeds in making me feel happy, contended, sad, infuriated, sympathizing, breathless and leaves me turning the last page with a dreamy sigh and a silly lovesick expression, well yeah, I know that I’ve been reading an amazing book, and it’s getting a five star rating.
