That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies. But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.
Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.
But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. This sequel to Hex Hall only makes me want to meet Sophie more.

And of course these character traits caused me to laugh out loud and snort many, many times. Sophie haw,ins simply a cool character that I never get tired of.
Sometimes I have a problem with this in series, but Rachel Hawkins must know how bothersome that can be because she has a great balance here! The addition of more drmonglass and suspense is awesome. And maybe some swords.

We might even have a love triangle going on! They act and speak like REAL teens. I see about different teens all day—I know how they act and speak.
